Blue for a champion: Duora 10 LCW Frosty Blue
A second colorway
The Frosty Blue Duora 10 LCW was the second limited colorway released for Lee Chong Wei's signature Duora 10. The original LCW Duora 10 had launched in orange and green — tied to the Malaysian flag — but the Frosty Blue in 2016 represented a cooler, more international design that resonated with LCW's global fanbase. Where the standard edition was an act of patriotism, the Frosty Blue was an act of style.
The Duora's innovation
The Duora 10's defining innovation was its dual-face frame: a box-shaped side for powerful forehand smashes and an aero-shaped side for fast backhand drives. Combined with NANOMETRIC DR construction, Ni-Ti Fiber reinforcement, and LCW's signature graphics, the Frosty Blue was marketed not just as a performance tool but as an artifact of Malaysian badminton's golden era. Lee Chong Wei was ranked World #1 at the time of release.
The Frosty Blue vs. the standard
At $448, the Frosty Blue is one of the more accessible LCW signature pieces. The orange-and-green original may be more common; the Frosty Blue is rarer and, among serious collectors, considered the superior piece in the Duora LCW series. It remains the definitive Duora-era LCW collectible and a natural predecessor to the $1,068 Legend Vision edition that followed a year later.
Cool steel blue colorway — not navy, not teal. Gold accent elements at throat and handle end. 'Lee Chong Wei' signature on shaft. Dual-profile shaft cross-section visible under magnification. NANOMETRIC DR designation. Made in Japan. Standard Yonex hologram.
Undervalued entry into the LCW Duora collection. The Legend Vision DUO-10LLC at $1,068 sets the ceiling; the Frosty Blue at $448 is the accessible equivalent.
