ArcSaber 2 Clear: the even-balance ArcSaber 2 that Yonex USA sells strung

Three names, one spec sheet

The ArcSaber 2 Clear (item code ARC2C) is one of three entry-level ArcSabers that Yonex’s global site added in 2024 under one number: the ArcSaber 2 Ability, Clear and Feel. Yonex prints the same specification for all three and separates them by name, item code and color, Black/Blue in the Clear’s case. The Clear is the member that reaches furthest: it is the only ArcSaber 2 on Yonex USA’s store, which sells it strung, and the only one for which a Yonex page gives a balance, “Even Balanced.”

HT Graphite, Hi-Flex and no Booster

Yonex has published no release or on-sale date for the ArcSaber 2. Its global site’s ArcSaber page did not show the trio in July 2024 and listed all three by November 2024, so 2024 is the first year Yonex documents them. The names were not new: Yonex had used Ability, Clear and Feel since 2021 on the Astrox 01 and Nanoflare 001, then on the Nanoflare 002 and Astrox 02, and the ArcSaber 2 brought the scheme to the control series. Yonex lists an HT Graphite frame, a graphite shaft, Hi-Flex, a length 10 mm longer and 4U (average 83 g), made in China. Its 2026 global catalog gives the technologies as Isometric, the AERO+BOX Frame, a Super Slim Shaft and a Control Support Cap, with no Pocketing Booster. Yonex USA’s store lists the same four technologies for the Clear.

Sold to beginners, with no named user

No player is documented using the ArcSaber 2 Clear, and Yonex attaches no player to the trio. Yonex USA describes it as the “prestrung ARCSABER 2 CLEAR, designed for beginners” and tags it “Player type: Beginner.” The doubles pair quoted in Yonex’s 2026 catalog, France’s Toma Junior Popov and Christo Popov, speak for the ArcSaber series as a whole, not for this model.

Black/Blue, then Pearl Pink

Yonex’s global site first showed the Clear in Black/Blue, the color its 2026 catalog prints and the one Yonex USA’s strung racquet carries. By October 2026 the global page also listed Pearl Pink under the same item code. The siblings follow the same pattern: the Ability in Black/Pink and later Emerald Green, the Feel in Black/Green and later Emerald Green; each has its own page. No limited or player edition is documented.

On Yonex’s lists outside Japan

The Clear is in current production. Yonex’s global site listed it in stock on October 8, 2026; Yonex USA’s store sells it strung, 4U with a G5 grip, under the code ARC2CGE; and Yonex’s 2026 global catalog prints it with the Ability and Feel beside the ArcSaber 11 and 7 tiers. It is not in Yonex USA’s 2024 catalog, and Yonex Japan’s racquet list carries no ArcSaber 2: Japan’s entry ArcSabers are the ArcSaber 1 and 3, separate models with their own pages. Yonex has published no production end. No verified sales are recorded yet.

Twin frames, not fakes

No counterfeit of the ArcSaber 2 Clear is documented. The likelier mistake is identity: the Ability and Feel share the Clear’s printed specification, so the name on the frame and the ARC2C code identify it, with the color as a guide. Shops that sell strung racquets as an “ArcSaber 1 Clear” use a name Yonex does not document; Yonex’s ArcSaber 1 is a Japan-market model. The ArcSaber 2i (ARC2I), which Yonex Japan sold from 2015 to 2022, is an unrelated earlier racquet; it has its own page.

A starter ArcSaber, made to be played

The ArcSaber 2 Clear is an entry point to the ArcSaber series outside Japan, and its place in the series’ history is as part of the first ArcSaber line to carry the Ability, Clear and Feel names. The usual marks of a collectible are absent: no documented player, a standard finish and continuing production. Its closest relative in the export range is the ArcSaber 7 Play, also Hi-Flex, 4U and made in China, but with a graphite frame and Yonex’s plainer Box Frame and Slim Shaft.

Authentication

Yonex’s item code is ARC2C; Yonex USA’s strung racquet is listed as ARC2CGE, in Black/Blue, 4U with a G5 grip. Look for the ARCSABER 2 CLEAR name, a Black/Blue or Pearl Pink finish, a frame 10 mm longer than standard and a 4U label (average 83 g); Yonex’s global page lists grips 5 and 6, its 2026 catalog grips 4 and 5. Yonex lists Hi-Flex, an HT Graphite frame, a graphite shaft and China as the origin. The same specification in Black/Pink is the Ability, in Black/Green the Feel, and in Emerald Green either of those two. A Gray/Yellow or Light Beige frame marked PLAY is the ArcSaber 7 Play.

Outlook

A current entry-level racquet that most buyers will take new, and in the United States already strung. Yonex recommends 20–30 lb for the 4U frame, a wider range than the 19–27 lb it gives the ArcSaber 7 tiers, with Nanogy 98 for control players and Nanogy 95 for hard hitters. For a second-hand racquet, check the CLEAR name and the ARC2C code rather than the color alone.
