ArcSaber 2 Ability: one spec sheet, three names, and this one in Black/Pink

The same racquet on paper

The ArcSaber 2 Ability (item code ARC2A) is one of three entry-level ArcSabers that Yonex’s global site added in 2024 under one number, beside the ArcSaber 2 Clear and Feel. Yonex documents no difference between the three beyond the name, the item code and the color: the Ability came in Black/Pink and now also in Emerald Green. Yonex does not explain the word “Ability.”

HT Graphite, Hi-Flex and no Booster

Yonex has published no release or on-sale date for the ArcSaber 2. Its global site’s ArcSaber page did not show the trio in July 2024 and listed all three by November 2024, so 2024 is the first year Yonex documents them. The names were not new: Yonex had used Ability, Clear and Feel since 2021 on the Astrox 01 and Nanoflare 001, then on the Nanoflare 002 and Astrox 02, and the ArcSaber 2 brought the scheme to the control series. Yonex lists an HT Graphite frame, a graphite shaft, Hi-Flex, a length 10 mm longer and 4U (average 83 g), made in China. Its 2026 global catalog gives the technologies as Isometric, the AERO+BOX Frame, a Super Slim Shaft and a Control Support Cap, with no Pocketing Booster. Yonex prints no balance for the Ability; the only Yonex balance for the trio is Yonex USA’s “Even Balanced” for the Clear.

No named user

No player is documented using the ArcSaber 2 Ability, and Yonex’s pages for it name no player and describe no target level. Yonex USA, which sells only the Clear, presents that model as designed for beginners. The doubles pair quoted in Yonex’s 2026 catalog, France’s Toma Junior Popov and Christo Popov, speak for the ArcSaber series as a whole.

Black/Pink, then Emerald Green

Yonex’s global site first showed the Ability in Black/Pink, the color its 2026 catalog prints. By October 2026 the page also listed Emerald Green under the same item code, a color name the Feel shares. The Clear runs in Black/Blue and Pearl Pink. Each sibling has its own page. No limited or player edition is documented.

On Yonex’s global list

The Ability is in current production: Yonex’s global site listed it in stock on October 8, 2026, and Yonex’s 2026 global catalog prints it beside the ArcSaber 11 and 7 tiers. It is not on Yonex USA’s store or in its 2024 catalog, and Yonex Japan’s racquet list carries no ArcSaber 2: Japan’s entry ArcSabers are the ArcSaber 1 and 3, separate models with their own pages. Yonex has published no production end. No verified sales are recorded yet.

Twin frames, not fakes

No counterfeit of the ArcSaber 2 Ability is documented. The likelier mistake is identity: the Clear and Feel share its printed specification, and the Feel also comes in Emerald Green, so the ABILITY name and the ARC2A code are what identify it. Shops that sell strung racquets as an “ArcSaber 1 Ability” use a name Yonex does not document; Yonex’s ArcSaber 1 is a Japan-market model.

A starter ArcSaber

The Ability is an entry point to the ArcSaber series outside Japan, part of the first ArcSaber line to carry the Ability, Clear and Feel names. It has no documented player, a standard finish and continuing production. Its closest relative in the export range is the ArcSaber 7 Play, also Hi-Flex, 4U and made in China, with a graphite frame and Yonex’s Box Frame and Slim Shaft.

Authentication

Yonex’s item code is ARC2A. Look for the ARCSABER 2 ABILITY name, a Black/Pink or Emerald Green finish, a frame 10 mm longer than standard and a 4U label (average 83 g); Yonex’s global page lists grips 5 and 6, its 2026 catalog grips 4 and 5. Yonex lists Hi-Flex, an HT Graphite frame, a graphite shaft and China as the origin. An Emerald Green frame named FEEL (ARC2F) is the Feel; Black/Blue or Pearl Pink is the Clear (ARC2C).

Outlook

A current entry-level racquet that most buyers will take new. Yonex recommends 20–30 lb for the 4U frame, with Nanogy 98 for control players and Nanogy 95 for hard hitters. For a second-hand racquet, check the ABILITY name and the ARC2A code, above all on an Emerald Green frame, which could also be a Feel.
