Astrox 10: a strung all-graphite beginner Astrox, not the older Astrox 10 DG

An old number on a new starter

The Astrox 10 (Yonex USA model number AX10GE) is a strung, all-graphite racquet for beginners, first documented by Yonex in September 2026, when Yonex USA added it to its store at $55. Yonex has published no launch date; shops in Asia had listed it as a 2024 model. Its name repeats an older one. The Astrox 10 DG, on Yonex’s global site in 2021, is a different racquet with a tungsten frame, and a search for “Astrox 10” finds both.

Graphite, medium flex, 10 mm longer

Yonex USA calls the Astrox 10 “an approachable entry-level racquet designed for players getting more into the game,” with “a full-graphite construction, medium flex, a 10mm longer length.” Its specification gives graphite as the material, Medium shaft flex, 4U (83 g average) with a G5 grip, and string advice of 20–28 lb. No named technology is listed. The spec block files it under Player Type Beginner and Model Group PLAY, the tier name of the beginner Astrox 77, 88 and 99 Plays. Its Balance field reads Head Heavy, the value Yonex USA prints across its Astrox pages, the Hi-Flex Astrox 70 included, so it says nothing specific about this frame.

No named player

No player is documented on the Astrox 10. Yonex USA lists it as a beginner racquet and writes that it brings “the powerful versatility of the ASTROX series to players building their game.”

Five colors and two namesakes

Yonex USA offers five colors under the AX10GE code: Navy Blue (019), Dark Wine (266), Olive Green (268), White/Pink (062) and White/Black (265), all 4U with a G5 grip. The Astrox 10 DG (item code AX10DG) is Navy/Turquoise, with an HM graphite and tungsten frame, an HM graphite and Nanomesh Neo shaft and 20–35 lb string advice. The Astrox 9 (AX9) of Yonex’s 2018 catalog is a stiff tungsten frame, and Yonex USA’s Hi-Flex Astrox Attack 9 of 2026 is another strung beginner model; it has its own page. Yonex USA added the Nanoflare X5, also strung, 4U and Model Group PLAY, on the same day. Yonex Japan’s Astrox 11 (AX11) of 2024 is another near-namesake: an unstrung, Taiwan-made 4U frame in Black/Green that only Yonex Japan lists; it has its own page.

A Yonex USA listing

The Astrox 10 is current, on Yonex USA’s store at $55, strung, in 2026. Yonex’s global site does not list it, nor do Yonex Japan’s catalogs. It is also absent from Yonex USA’s 2024 catalog, whose entry-level Astrox models were the Hi-Flex Astrox 02 Ability, Clear and Feel (HT graphite frame, 10 mm longer, 4U), the Astrox 01 Ability, Clear and Feel (plain graphite frame) and the aluminum-framed Astrox E13; each has its own page. The store page is so far Yonex’s only record of it. No verified sales are recorded yet.

The DG is the likelier mix-up

No counterfeit of the Astrox 10 is documented. Confusion with the Astrox 10 DG is the likelier problem, since both are 4U, 10 mm longer, medium flex and sold in navy. A listing that shows “DG” on the frame or gives string advice up to 35 lb is describing the DG; one that credits an “Astrox 10” with tungsten, Nanomesh Neo or a built-in T-joint is describing the DG or Yonex Japan’s Black/Green Astrox 11 (AX11), which has its own page. The callout lists the checks.

A first racquet

The Astrox 10 is a current, mass-produced starter: graphite, medium flex and the Astrox’s extra 10 mm in a strung 4U frame. Its interest for a collector is the name, a number Yonex had already used on a DG model.

Authentication

Yonex USA’s model number is AX10GE, with color codes 019 (Navy Blue), 266 (Dark Wine), 268 (Olive Green), 062 (White/Pink) and 265 (White/Black). Yonex documents a graphite frame, Medium flex, 10 mm extra length and 4U (83 g average) with a G5 grip, and recommends 20–28 lb. Yonex documents no country of manufacture and no named technologies for it. The Astrox 10 DG (AX10DG) is Navy/Turquoise with an HM graphite and tungsten frame, a Nanomesh Neo shaft and 20–35 lb string advice; navy, tungsten or “DG” on the frame marks the older racquet, and a Black/Green frame coded AX11 is Yonex Japan’s Astrox 11.

Outlook

The Astrox 10 is current and sold strung, so most players will buy it new. For a used one, confirm the AX10 code, one of the five documented colors and the 4U label, and ask about the string and its tension: Yonex recommends 20–28 lb. Treat a listing that adds tungsten, Nanomesh Neo or a DG marking as the Astrox 10 DG.
