Carbonex 8000 Ti: the 8600 Ti’s titanium-mesh frame under a new number in 2011
A new number for a known specification
The Carbonex 8000 Ti appears in Yonex’s 2011 digital catalog as the only graphite-framed racquet on its lower Carbonex page, beside the aluminum-framed 7000 DF and 6000 DF. Its printed specification matches the Carbonex 8600 Ti’s 2009–2010 listing line for line; what Yonex changed was the name, the item code (CAB8000Ti) and the color, black and red.
What the 2011 catalog prints
Yonex gives no launch date, and the 2011 catalog is the only Yonex record of the model, so 2011 is the year it was first and last documented. The catalog lists it as Medium flex, frame of graphite with titanium mesh, graphite shaft, 3U (85–89.9 g) in grips G3, G4 and G5, made in Taiwan. Its feature labels are Titanium Mesh, Box Frame and Built-in T-Joint, and the page explains the first: “titanium mesh inserted at sides of the frame gives surface stability for pinpoint accuracy.” No balance or level wording is printed.

The 8600 Ti, the 8000 Light and the 8000 N
The Carbonex 8600 Ti, black and gold in the 2007 catalog, has the same printed flex, materials, weight class and Taiwan origin; Yonex never said whether the 8000 Ti is the same frame repainted. The Carbonex 8000 Light of 2008–2011 is a different, all-graphite model without titanium mesh, and the 2020 Carbonex 8000 N is a later racquet again. A digital-catalog model
The 8000 Ti was an export model. Yonex’s international site replaced its Carbonex list with a link to the 2011 digital catalog in mid-2011, and the last list before that, in June 2011, did not show the 8000 Ti, so the catalog page is its only Yonex listing. No Yonex Japan, Yonex USA or Yonex China listing of it is known. No verified sales are recorded yet.
A question of numbers
No counterfeit of the Carbonex 8000 Ti is documented. The risk is a mix-up with the 8600 Ti, the 8000 Light and the 2020 Carbonex 8000 N, which share digits but not a name.

The 8000 Ti is among the thinnest-documented Carbonex models: one catalog page, one colorway, one weight class. For a collector it pairs with the 8600 Ti, whose printed specification it repeats.
Yonex’s 2011 catalog lists the Carbonex 8000 Ti (item code CAB8000Ti) as Medium flex, with a graphite frame with titanium mesh at the sides, a graphite shaft, a box frame and a built-in T-joint, 3U (85–89.9 g) in G3, G4 or G5, made in Taiwan, in black and red. A black-and-gold frame with the same specification reading “8600 Ti” is the earlier Carbonex 8600 Ti.
The 8000 Ti is documented only by Yonex’s 2011 catalog, so read the printed model name, weight class and origin on the frame rather than a listing title. Check the head, the T-joint and the grommets for cracks, as with any frame of this age. Yonex documented no balance for it.
