Power in red: Voltric Z-Force II LD Red
The bolder sibling
The Red Lin Dan colorway was the more aggressive sibling in the LD Z-Force II series. Released in 2015 in a striking bright red finish, it was marketed directly as 'Lin Dan Exclusive II' — the second chapter of the colorway story that would conclude with the rarer Yellow and White variants. The Red announced its intent visually: this was a weapon, not a showpiece.
Specifications and distribution
Specifications are identical across all three LD Z-Force II colorways: Extra Stiff flex, 4U (83g) and 3U (88g) variants, HM Graphite frame and shaft, Tri-iBumper grommets, Made in Japan provenance. The Red was available in slightly wider distribution than the White, making deadstock examples more findable — but genuine unstrung, Japan-coded specimens in original packaging command strong premiums.
Entry point into the trilogy
At $578, the Red is priced below the Yellow ($948) despite arguably being the more visually striking colorway — reflecting supply dynamics rather than desirability. More units were produced and distributed. For collectors, the Red often serves as the entry point into the LD trilogy: a statement piece in its own right that remains meaningful even without the premium scarcity of the White.
Bright red finish — not dark red, not burgundy. 'Lin Dan Exclusive' printed on shaft. Made in Japan only. Extra Stiff shaft. Tri-iBumper grommets. Compact head profile (same as standard VTZF2). Counterfeit risk elevated at this price point.
The most accessible LD colorway. Appreciation tracks below Yellow and White due to wider initial distribution. Best starting point for collectors new to the LD Z-Force trilogy.
