Isometric 63 MF Light: the brief Extra Flexible Isometric between the 62 and 75 MF Lights
A few months on Yonex USA’s page
The Isometric 63 MF Light appears on Yonex USA’s Isometric page only around the end of 2003: it replaced the 62 MF Light there and had itself given way to the 75MF Light by June 2004. Yonex rated it Extra Flexible, where the 62 had been Medium.
What the spec page says
Yonex USA’s specification page gives Extra Flexible, power 3 and control 4, 3U (85–89 g), a G4 grip, and a recommended 14–16 lb on the mains and 16–18 lb on the crosses. It marks the Isometric square head and the Built-in T-Joint as present and Muscle Power Frame, Ultimum Ti and titanium mesh as absent. Frame and shaft materials, balance, length, country of manufacture and price are not documented.
No named player
Yonex names no player for the 63 MF Light.
Between the 62 and the 75
The 62 MF Light it replaced is also 3U but rated Medium, and its spec page marks titanium mesh as present. The 75MF Light that followed shares the 63’s Extra Flexible rating and 3U class, with a graphite frame and shaft; Yonex does not call either the successor of the other.
One listing, late 2003
Its only Yonex list is the Isometric page of December 2003, beside the 90 VFS, the Isometric-23 and the Isometric-20. No Yonex catalog is known to show it, and no production end is documented. No verified sales are recorded yet.
Reading the number
No counterfeit of the Isometric 63 MF Light is documented. The 62, 63 and 75 MF Lights share the 3U class, so the number printed on the frame is the clue that matters.
A stopgap model
Between two longer-listed MF Lights, the 63 is known from one Yonex USA list and one spec page.
Yonex documents the 63 MF Light as Extra Flexible, 3U (85–89 g) with a G4 grip, with no titanium mesh; a Medium rating or titanium mesh points to the 62 MF Light, and a Taiwan-made graphite frame in silver to the 75 MF Light. Read the full name and number on the frame. Yonex documents no color, item code or country of manufacture for it.
Yonex’s record of this model is thin. Match the 63 number and the 3U class, and treat any balance, material or price claim as coming from outside Yonex’s record.
