Isometric 30 VF: the Yonex USA Isometric listed first as graphite, then as aluminum
Two specifications, one name
The Isometric 30 VF is known only from Yonex USA’s Isometric page, where it stood from 2004 to early 2006, and the page described it two ways. In June 2004 it was a graphite frame on a graphite shaft in 3U; from October 2005 the same name carried an aluminum frame on a graphite shaft in 2U. Both versions are rated Medium.
What Yonex listed
Yonex USA’s list of June 2004 gives the Isometric-30VF a Medium flex, a graphite frame and shaft, 3U (85–89 g) and grips G3 to G5. The list of October 2005 to February 2006 gives Medium, an aluminum frame, a graphite shaft, 2U (90–94 g) and G4, line for line the same as the 23 VF above it. Yonex does not say whether the frame changed or the listing was copied, so no weight class is given here. No balance, length, country of manufacture or price is documented.
No named player
Yonex names no player for the 30 VF.
Beside the 23, replaced by the 30DF
On the 2004 page the 30 VF sat beside the Isometric-20, the Isometric-23 and the 75MF Light; on the 2005–06 page beside the 20 VF, 23 VF and 75MF Light. By November 2006 Yonex USA listed an Isometric 30 DF and a 25 DF instead, the 30 DF also Medium and 2U on a graphite shaft; each has its own page. The 30 VF does not appear in Yonex’s 2007 export catalog.
Listed 2004–2006
Shops in the US listed an Isometric 30 VF by spring 2004, and Yonex USA first showed it in June 2004. Its last Yonex listing is February 2006; by November that year the page had moved to the 30DF. No production end is documented, and no other Yonex site or catalog is known to show it. No verified sales are recorded yet.
Identity first
No counterfeit of the Isometric 30 VF is documented. Because Yonex listed it both as a graphite 3U frame and as an aluminum 2U frame, check the frame material and the weight print on the racquet itself, and don’t confuse it with the 30DF that followed.
A short-lived middle model
The 30 VF filled the slot between the aluminum 23 and the graphite 75MF Light on Yonex USA’s page for about two years. Its record is two versions of one Yonex page.
Yonex documents only a Medium flex consistently for the 30 VF. Its listing gave a graphite frame, 3U and G3–G5 in 2004, then an aluminum frame, 2U and G4 in 2005–06, so read the frame material and weight class printed on the racquet rather than assuming either. Read the model name: the 30DF that replaced it and the 23 VF share the later listed build. No Yonex color, item code or country of manufacture is documented.
The 30 VF is a thinly documented US-market model. Treat the frame’s own prints as the evidence, keep it apart from the 30DF, and expect no Yonex document to settle which listed version a frame is.
