Isometric 75 MF Light: the Extra Flexible, Taiwan-made graphite Isometric of 2004–07
The softest Isometric on the list
From 2004 to 2007 the Isometric 75 MF Light was the only model on Yonex USA’s Isometric page that Yonex rated Extra Flexible, in a 3U class (85–89.9 g) that from 2005 no other adult model on the page shared. Yonex’s 2007 export catalog shows it in silver with a graphite frame and shaft, made in Taiwan, where the aluminum models beside it were made in China.
What Yonex listed
Yonex USA first listed it in June 2004 as the Isometric-75MFLT: Extra Flexible, graphite frame, graphite shaft, 3U (85–89 g), grips G3 to G5. From 2005 the page called it the Isometric-75MF Light with a G4 grip. Yonex’s 2007 Badminton Catalogue repeats the flex, materials and 3U (85.0–89.9 g)/G4, adds Made in Taiwan and tags it NEW, three years after its first Yonex USA listing. Yonex USA’s list from late 2007 marks the aluminum models beside it as strung and says nothing of stringing for this one. No balance, length or price is documented.

After the 63 MF Light
In December 2003 Yonex USA’s page listed an Isometric 63 MF Light, also Extra Flexible and 3U; by June 2004 the 75MFLT stood in its place. Yonex does not call one the successor of the other. Before that, from 2002 to mid-2003, the page carried an Isometric 62 MF Light, rated Medium. Yonex China’s product database also carries both an ISO-75MFLT and a separate ISO-75MF code; no Yonex description of an Isometric 75 MF without “Light” is known.
Listed from 2004 to 2007
Yonex USA’s Isometric page, which last changed in 2007, still showed the 75 MF Light when it stayed online into 2008. Yonex’s international Isometric list of February 2008 no longer showed it, and the 2007 export catalog is the last Yonex catalog known to include it. No production end is documented, and it does not appear in Yonex Japan’s old-model index. No verified sales are recorded yet.
Telling the MF Lights apart
No counterfeit of the Isometric 75 MF Light is documented. The 62, 63 and 75 MF Lights share the 3U class, so read the number on the frame; the 62 is the one Yonex rated Medium.
The graphite top of a starter range
Above the aluminum 20 VF and 23 VF, the 75 MF Light was the graphite option in Yonex’s export Isometric range of the mid-2000s. Its record is four years of Yonex USA lists and one catalog page.
Yonex documents the 75 MF Light as Extra Flexible, 3U (85–89.9 g), graphite frame and graphite shaft, made in Taiwan; the 2007 catalog shows it in silver. An aluminum frame or a U or 2U class points to one of the aluminum Isometrics, and a “Made in China” print does not match Yonex’s catalog entry. Yonex listed G3 to G5 grips in 2004 and G4 from 2005. Read the full name on the frame, since the 62 and 63 MF Lights share the 3U class.
Look for the “75MF Light” name, the 3U weight and a Taiwan print. Yonex documents no balance, length or price, and nothing ties it to a player; with a flexible graphite shaft about twenty years old, check the shaft and the frame-to-shaft joint closely.
