Nanoflare 700 Tour: the Taiwan-made tier closest to the 700 Pro, in the same purple

The Pro’s concept, made in Taiwan

Yonex Japan’s release for the second-generation Nanoflare 700 describes three racquets: a Pro for top players, a Game recommended for intermediate players, and between them this Tour, with “the same concept design as the Pro.” On Yonex’s specification sheets the Tour matches the Pro more closely than any other tier does: medium flex, 4U and 5U weights, a frame 10 mm longer than standard and Midnight Purple paint. The differences are in the frame materials and the factory. Yonex lists the Tour as made in Taiwan, where the Pro is made in Japan, and Yonex Japan priced it at ¥27,500 including tax against the Pro’s ¥31,900. It is also the only one of the three lower tiers offered in 5U.

Nanocell NEO where the Pro has M40X

Yonex’s global release of August 2024 called the new 700 a remaster of the head-light model it introduced in 2019, which had gone without an upgrade until then, and set a worldwide launch for September 13, 2024, in four models. Yonex’s global store showed the Tour in stock by mid-September, and Yonex Japan sold it from late September. In Yonex Japan’s launch table the Tour’s frame is high-modulus carbon, Nanocell NEO, Super HMG and Servo Filter, the Pro’s frame with Nanocell NEO in place of M40X. Its shaft is high-modulus carbon and Super HMG without the Pro’s Ultra PE Fiber, and it has the standard built-in T-joint rather than the Pro’s new one. Yonex reserves the stiffer upper frame and sharper-angled lower frame for the Pro and Tour. Yonex’s global page lists the shaft as HM Graphite and Servo Filter instead.

No named player

No Yonex source names a player using the Tour. Yonex’s launch news named one player for the new 700, the 2023 world mixed doubles champion Chae Yu-jung, without saying which model, and the professional use recorded in Yonex’s equipment lists is covered on the Pro’s page. Yonex Japan’s shop gives the Tour the same suitability grid as the Pro: best for intermediate men and advanced women, suitable for advanced men and intermediate women, and not rated for beginners. Yonex USA describes it as a racquet for intermediate to advanced players.

Three colors, two weights

The Tour launched in Midnight Purple, the color of all four tiers, and Silver/Sky Blue, which it shares with the Game and Play. On March 27, 2026, Yonex Japan released a new Light Beige design of the Tour, in the same spring release as Light Beige versions of the Astrox 77 Tour and ArcSaber 7 Tour; Yonex USA sells it as part of its Shutter Series, and Yonex’s global page now lists all three colors under the one item code, 2NF-700T. Yonex sells 4U (average 83 g) and 5U (average 78 g) with grip 5 or 6, although Yonex USA’s store offers only 4U with grip 5. The Game and Play have their own pages.

Current in Japan and abroad

The Tour is in production. In October 2026 Yonex’s global store lists it in stock, Yonex Japan carries it on its racquet list and in its 2025 and 2026 catalogs, and Yonex USA sells it. Unlike the Play, it is a Japanese-market model as well as an export one. Its launch price in Japan was ¥27,500 including tax, or ¥25,000 before tax. The name is the main source of confusion in listings: four racquets of 2024 and the 2019 original are all called Nanoflare 700, so the TOUR print or the item code has to be confirmed before anything else. No verified sales are recorded yet.

Same purple, different factory

No counterfeit specific to the Nanoflare 700 Tour is documented. Yonex warns that counterfeits circulate especially on online shopping sites, auctions and flea markets and are hard to tell from genuine racquets by sight. The likelier mistake is a mix-up with the Pro. A Midnight Purple Tour shares the Pro’s paint, flex, both weight classes and 10 mm longer frame, so the printed tier name and the country marking are what separate them. A Silver/Sky Blue or Light Beige frame cannot be a Pro, which Yonex sells only in purple.

The step below the Pro

In Yonex’s head-light range the Tour sits one step below the 700 Pro and apart from the Nanoflare 800 Tour, which Yonex rates stiff and sells in 3U and 4U. It keeps the Pro’s flex, weights and repulsion-oriented frame shape at a lower Japanese list price. Yonex recommends 20–28 lb in 4U and 19–27 lb in 5U, with Exbolt 63 for control players and Exbolt 65 for hard hitters.

Authentication

Yonex’s item code is 2NF-700T (Yonex USA model number NF700T), and Yonex lists the frame as made in Taiwan; the Pro is made in Japan, the Game in Taiwan and the Play in China. Yonex rates the Tour medium flex and offers 4U (average 83 g) and 5U (average 78 g), grip 5 or 6, with a frame 10 mm longer than standard. Colors are Midnight Purple, Silver/Sky Blue and, from 2026, Light Beige. Yonex lists the frame as HM Graphite, Nanocell NEO, Super HMG and Servo Filter. A Hi-Flex rating or the code 2NF-700G is the Game; a purple frame marked Japan is the Pro; a code NF-700 without the leading 2 is the 2019 original. Yonex’s own test is the hologram sticker, which resists peeling on a genuine racquet.

Outlook

A current racquet sold new in Japan and abroad, so a player can still choose weight and grip. For a used frame, confirm the TOUR print, the 2NF-700T code and the Taiwan marking, especially on Midnight Purple, which the Pro shares. A listing that credits it with M40X, Ultra PE Fiber or Japanese manufacture is describing the Pro, and any link to a professional player is unproven: no Yonex source names a Tour user.
