Voltric Power Soar: Yonex China’s 5U value Voltric in red, yellow or white
A 5U Voltric for China
The Voltric Power Soar (Yonex China item VTPWSREX) is a light Voltric that Yonex documented only on its Chinese site, from 2018 to 2021. Yonex China’s tagline called it a 5U frame for very high string tension and a value choice, and on its 2020 Voltric list it carried the lowest suggested price of the range. No other Yonex site or catalog is documented to have listed it.
Carbon, tungsten and 5U
No launch date is documented. It first appears as a related-product tile on Yonex China’s site in early March 2018, beside the Voltric Ace and the Voltric 800 Lite. Yonex China lists a carbon and tungsten frame, a carbon shaft, a length 10 mm over standard, 5U (about 78 g) with grips 4 and 5, a soft feel (软), the attacking “smash” type (扣杀型) and China as the place of origin; it recommends 20–30 lb. The page names only the series’ Tri-Voltage System as technology. No balance is documented.
No player on record
No player is documented with the Power Soar. Yonex China listed it for adults and named no user.
Three colors, one code
Yonex named no edition. Its Chinese page lists three colors under the one code: red (001), yellow (004) and white (011). The Voltric Ace, a 4U Hi-Flex beginner frame, sat higher in Yonex China’s prices; the F-class Voltric 800 Lite and Voltric Power Boost are lighter and Taiwan-made. Each has its own page. The name has nothing to do with Yonex’s Power Boost Cap shaft technology.
Listed by Yonex China, 2018–2021
The Power Soar was a Chinese-market model; no Yonex Japan, UK or international listing is documented. Yonex China’s Voltric list still carried it in July 2021, its last archived listing. No Yonex source states a production end, and no launch price in dollars or yen is documented. No verified sales are recorded yet.
Identity before counterfeits
No counterfeit of the Power Soar is documented. The useful checks are the code VTPWSREX, the 5U label and one of the three documented colors; a 4U frame is another Voltric.
A regional footnote
The Power Soar is an inexpensive, China-made beginner’s Voltric with no player link and no edition. For a collector of the series it is a regional footnote, documented only by Yonex China.
Check the item code VTPWSREX on the frame or box. Yonex China lists the Power Soar only in 5U (about 78 g) with G4 or G5 grips, a carbon and tungsten frame, a carbon shaft and a length 10 mm over standard, recommends 20–30 lb, and gives China as the place of origin. Its documented colors are red, yellow and white. A 4U frame is not a Power Soar; an F-class frame coded VT800LTEX or VTPWBTEX is the 800 Lite or the Power Boost.
A buyer should confirm the code and the 5U class, since Chinese-market Voltrics are often listed by name alone. With no player link, edition or listing outside Yonex China, it is a beginner’s racquet first; condition and the original grip and cap matter more than anything else for a frame of this kind.
