Nanoflare 002 Clear: the Yellow or Black / Blue member of three same-spec 002s
Three names, one specification
The Nanoflare 002 Clear (item code NF-002C) is one of three entry-level Nanoflares that Yonex sells under the 002 number, beside the Ability and the Feel. Yonex’s global site and Yonex USA’s 2024 catalog print the same specification for all three; what sets the Clear apart is its name, its code and its colors, Yellow and Black / Blue. Yonex Taiwan, which lists the Ability and the Clear but not the Feel, rates it Head Light. Yonex’s pages do not explain the three names.
HT graphite and Hi-Flex
Yonex lists an HT graphite frame on a graphite shaft, Hi-Flex, a frame 10 mm longer than standard and 4U at an average 83 g with a G4 or G5 grip, made in China, and recommends 20–30 lb. Its technologies are Isometric, the Sonic Flare System, the AERO frame, a slim shaft and the TFA Cap Plus. Yonex Taiwan adds Head Light balance and a “Speed” trait. Next to the 002s in the catalog, the Nanoflare 001 models have a plain graphite frame, 5U at an average 78 g and the Control Support Cap. Yonex’s listings give no player level for the 002 and do not say whether it is sold strung.
No named player
No player is documented using the Nanoflare 002 Clear. The Yonex players pictured on Yonex Taiwan’s product page are not named as its users.
Two colors and two siblings
Yonex’s global page in 2023 and Yonex USA’s 2024 catalog showed the Clear in Yellow only; by October 2026 the global page lists Black / Blue and Yellow, and Yonex Taiwan sells Black / Blue (188). The Nanoflare 002 Ability (Lime or Black / Pink) and Nanoflare 002 Feel (Magenta or Black / Green) share its specification; each has its own page. The Astrox 02 Ability, Clear and Feel use the same three names and print the same frame, shaft, flex, length, weight and string advice under the Astrox series. The strung Nanoflare X5 that Yonex USA added in 2026, a white racquet, matches the 002 on frame material, flex, length and weight, but no Yonex source ties the two.
On Yonex’s global site since 2023
The Clear is current. No launch announcement or on-sale date is documented: Yonex’s global Nanoflare list did not show the 002s in June 2023 and showed all three in stock by late September 2023, and Yonex USA’s 2024 catalog marked them new. In October 2026 Yonex’s global site lists the Clear in stock, and Yonex Taiwan lists it at a suggested price of NT$3,000. It does not appear on Yonex USA’s online store or in Yonex Japan’s 2024–2026 catalogs, so it is an export model. No verified sales are recorded yet.
Same frame, different paint
No counterfeit of the Nanoflare 002 Clear is documented. Identity is the likelier confusion. The Ability and the Feel are the same specification in other colors, the Astrox 02 Clear shares the name and the construction under another series, and the Nanoflare 001 Clear is a lighter 5U frame with a plain graphite build. The model name, the number and the weight label matter more than the color. Yonex’s general test is the hologram sticker, which resists peeling on a genuine racquet.
A current entry Nanoflare
The Clear is a mass-produced entry racquet with no documented player, edition or production end. Its interest is the naming scheme: Yonex gives three names and three item codes to one documented specification, a scheme it also uses for the Astrox 02 and the Nanoflare 001.
Yonex’s item code is NF-002C, in Yellow or Black / Blue. Yonex documents an HT graphite frame and graphite shaft, Hi-Flex, a frame 10 mm longer than standard and 4U (average 83 g) with a G4 or G5 grip, made in China, and recommends 20–30 lb; Yonex Taiwan rates it Head Light. A Nanoflare 002 in Lime or Black / Pink is the Ability, and in Magenta or Black / Green the Feel. A listing that claims 5U, a stiff shaft or Japanese manufacture does not match any Yonex record for the 002. Yonex’s own test is the hologram sticker.
A current racquet, usually bought new as an entry racquet. For a used one, check the Clear name and the NF-002C code, the 4U label and the yellow or black-and-blue paint. A 5U frame with the same name is the Nanoflare 001 Clear, an Astrox-branded one is the Astrox 02 Clear, and a playing style that shop copy attaches to the Clear name is not Yonex’s.
