Nanoflare Speed 7: the strung beginner Nanoflare that shares its copy with an Astrox
A beginner’s speed racquet
The Nanoflare Speed 7 (Yonex USA model number NF-S7GE) is a pre-strung racquet for beginners, first documented by Yonex in January 2026, when Yonex USA added it to its store. Yonex describes it as “designed for beginner players seeking fast handling and quick reactions” and prints Balance Head Light, Shaft Flex Hi-Flex and Performance Speed. On the same day Yonex USA listed the Astrox Attack 9, whose construction copy matches the Speed 7’s almost word for word.
Carbon, Isometric and a T-joint
Yonex USA lists a carbon frame and carbon shaft with a built-in T-joint, a 22 x 22 string pattern and 4U with a G4 grip, and recommends 20–27 lb. Its technologies are Isometric, Slim Shaft, Control Support Cap, Sonic Flare System, Aero Frame, Enlarged Frame Top and Energy Boost Cap Plus, and the description says “high modulus graphite positioned at the top and bottom of the frame increases shuttle acceleration.” Yonex gives no length and no country of manufacture. The name echoes the 2019 Nanoflare 270 Speed and 370 Speed, but those were medium and stiff frames for intermediate and advanced players, and no Yonex source links them to the Speed 7.
No named player
No player is documented using the Speed 7. Yonex USA lists its player type as beginner only and pitches it at “players who thrive on speed and precision.”
Red, Blue and an Astrox twin
Yonex USA offers two colors, Red (001) and Blue (002), both 4U with a G4 grip. Listings elsewhere show further colors and lighter weights that no Yonex page documents. The Astrox Attack 9 (AXA9GE), in Black and Turquoise, has the same size, the same Head Light and Hi-Flex fields and the same list of technologies; it has its own page. The Nanoflare X5 that Yonex USA added in September 2026 is a different racquet: HT graphite, 10 mm longer and 4U with a G5 grip.
A Yonex USA listing
The Speed 7 is current, on Yonex USA’s store at $55, pre-strung, among its beginner racquets, though both colors showed sold out in October 2026. Yonex’s global site and Yonex UK do not list it, and neither Yonex Japan’s 2026 catalog nor Yonex USA’s 2024 catalog includes it; that catalog’s entry-level Nanoflares were the Hi-Flex Nanoflare 002 and 001 models in Ability, Clear and Feel versions and the aluminum-framed Nanoflare E13; each has its own page. Shops in India sold the Speed 7 from 2024, so January 2026 is the first Yonex record, not a documented launch date. No verified sales are recorded yet.
Old names and shop copy
No counterfeit of the Speed 7 is documented. Identity is the likelier problem. A racquet sold as a “Nanoflare Speed” rated medium or stiff, or offered in 5U, is the 2019 270 Speed or 370 Speed. Weights, colors and countries of manufacture in shop listings have no Yonex source. Yonex’s general test is the hologram sticker, which resists peeling on a genuine racquet.
A current starter
The Speed 7 is a mass-produced beginner racquet with no documented player, edition or production end. Its interest is its pairing with the Attack 9: one construction, as Yonex USA describes it, sold under two series names.
Yonex USA’s model number is NF-S7GE, in Red (001) or Blue (002). Yonex documents a carbon frame and shaft with a built-in T-joint, Hi-Flex, Head Light balance, a 22 x 22 string pattern and 4U with a G4 grip, sold strung, and recommends 20–27 lb. Yonex documents no length and no country of manufacture, so a made-in claim cannot be checked against a Yonex record. The 2019 Nanoflare 270 Speed is rated medium and the 370 Speed stiff, both offered in 4U and 5U. Yonex’s own test is the hologram sticker.
A current racquet, usually bought new and strung as a first Nanoflare. For a used one, check the model name and the NF-S7 code, the 4U G4 label and the red or blue paint. A listing that describes a medium or stiff shaft or a 5U frame is another model, and a weight or origin given in shop copy is not Yonex’s.
